Brand T20

Oh!! My God!! I grew up watching and playing one day Internationals which made cricket colorful (until then it was white and people watched in black and white TV!) and one day Internationals made cricket faster and we all used to love those sixes and fours and we surely got a result in one day. (Remember test cricket is for five days and most of them ended in a draw after five long days).

Now in a world of instant pizzas and everything is in a mobile. T20 is the order of the day. T20 is changing the face and pace of cricket. It has become rage and is seductive. T20 is for batsman, they have the license to kill. T20 has made cricket like football. T20 will change cricket forever (not just with the cheer girls or dug out or the orange and purple cap). You will soon find Afghanistan and America playing cricket. It will make cricket a world sport. I am sure test cricket will survive, but I have my own doubts about one day cricket.
T20 for sure has brought down the glamour of one day Internationals. One day Internationals to be in the arena needs to be rejunivated. T20 has opened up new avenues to cricket. Cricket now is a business, Carrier, Entertainment and of course a sport. But some how I watch selective portions of T20, will that possibly the next format of cricket.
T20 seems the new life to cricket where speed is the way of life. Anything can happen in the last one over. This format is so unpredictable it changes the fortune of the teams in just split seconds. Given the fickle nature of T20 cricket when fortunes can swing each over, no one can be sure of anything. In T20 any team can beat any other team. This game never allows relaxing and you have to be on the hunt.
This brand – T20 is instantly appreciated and well received by the Viewers, Brands, Television and the Media. This brand of cricket T20 seems to be a game changer.

A good way to make a remarkable improvement in One day crickets is like this. This idea was proposed by none other than Sachin Tendulkar. Split the game into 4 sessions of 25 over each. This means team A wins toss bats for 25 overs, then team B bats, follwed by Team A who then set the final Target, which has to be achieved by Team B. The advantages are: 1. Toss does not become a detrimental factor for day/night games as both teams face the same conditions. 2. Teams will have to strategies better and keep their resources because the second half will be going for the kill.
