0An Idea
There is a girl waiting for you in another country. You have acquired the tickets of a plane which flies there.
You’re at the airport, ready to board the flight. You’re very excited about this trip and have been planning for a long time now.
You hear the noise in speakers. There is going to be an announcement. They’re finally going to start the boarding.
But no! The announcement stated that the flight has been cancelled because of maintenance.
How can this be for the best?
You would just sit there, sulking on your condition. Making plans on how to plan another trip so you can finally meet the lady.
This is how some people react.
When this happened to Sir Richard Branson, he saw an opportunity.
He thought this situation was ridiculous. So he went and chartered a private airplane, which, by the way, he did not have the money to do.
Then, he picked up a small blackboard, wrote “Virgin Airlines. $39.” on it, and went over to the group of people who had been on the flight that was cancelled.
He sold tickets for the rest of the seats on the plane, used their money to pay for the chartered plane. Everyone reached their destination that night.
Later on, he started his own airlines called Virgin Atlantic.
So, everything depends on how you decide to react to the situation.
You could just sulk about the fact that something terrible just happened to you, or accept and find an opportunity to fix it.
