The One book every one reads and gets hooked on is Facebook !!
Facebook ‘makes’ nothing. It isn’t even like the Nike and Reebok and Adidas that done really ‘make’ a single shoe, but shoes ARE made, in their name. Facebook ‘manufactures’ nothing. It has no distribution system, no retail outlets, you can’t go into a store and buy anything facebook. Facebook is the only company where every one of us work round the clock, with out getting paid…but ensure the company flourishes .
According to Wikipedia: “Facebook, Inc. held an initial public offering on May 17, 2012, negotiating a share price of $38 apiece, valuing the company at $104 billion, the largest valuation to date for a newly public company.[58] After the IPO, Zuckerberg will retain a 22% ownership share in Facebook and will own 57% of the voting shares.[59] The IPO raised $16 billion, making it the third largest in U.S. history.[60][61] The shares began to be traded on May 18, and though the stock struggled to stay above the IPO price for most of the day, it set a new record for trading volume of an IPO.[62]”
At this point, according to Wikipedia again, here are two figures for Boeing, a company that makes products each of which cost over 100 million apiece:
Total assets increase US$ 68.565 billion (2010)[1]
Total equity increase US$ 2.776 billion (2010)[1]
This is becoming a VERY STRANGE PLANET. How can leaders create a FB like work atmosphere is the question. FB has allowed ourselves to be ourselves and trusted us to be responsible.Share your thoughts on this.
